Kiveri: A Gentle Pause by the Sea

Kiveri offers a tranquil seaside retreat with its serene beach, delightful marina, and a church rich in history and warmth.

Kiveri welcomed me with an embrace of simplicity and warmth. Tucked directly by the beach, my truck found its spot where the lull of the sea serenaded me through the night. The gentle waves and the soft rustle of leaves created a symphony of tranquility, making it a perfect place to rest and reflect.

The marina offered a delightful fish meal, prepared just the way I love it—fresh, flavorful, and unpretentious. As I wandered through the town, I was charmed by its narrow streets, traditional houses, and the subtle blend of history and daily life.

A highlight of my visit was the Church of the Assumption. Upon entering, I was greeted by the parish priest, whose enthusiasm and pride in his church were palpable. He graciously showed me around, sharing stories and insights about the artwork and architecture. Out of respect, I refrained from taking photos, choosing instead to absorb the serene beauty and the priest's heartfelt narratives.

Kiveri, with its serene beach, welcoming locals, and rich history, offered a peaceful interlude in my journey—a place where the sea whispers stories of the past and the present coexists harmoniously.
