Return to Sagiada

Back in Sagiada due to a longer stay in the northwest, I couldn’t resist returning to the same waterside taverna for another stunning sunset and a peaceful overnight by the shore.

Sometimes you’re forced to revisit a place—and sometimes you’re glad you are.

As part of my extended detour in northwestern Greece, I found myself back in Sagiada. And honestly, there was no hesitation. I returned to the same spot, the same table, the same familiar light of the setting sun.

Fish Taverna Skaloma had left its mark—not just for the food, but for its quiet grace, the stone-paved dock, and the way the sea reflects the sky like it remembers everything.

Dinner again at sunset. Stillness again later from my truck, parked just beyond the breakwater. And the same slow exhale of a day closing right.

But this time, morning had its own glory. The sun wasn’t just decorative—it was energising. Crisp light, empty beach, perfect stillness. The kind of moment that makes working out feel like a privilege.

I didn’t plan on coming back here. But I’m glad I did.
