Bribes and unused shirts

Stasi prison February 13, 1986

Another bro gone!

Konrad was called out today.

Third bro I see leaving from here.

Inherited his shirts.

There are two types of prisoners shirts.

The ones that have been recycled for years and the new deliveries.

Prison shirts in the GDR Stasi prison for political prisoners.

Konrad bribed a criminal and got a stash of brand new ones, washed them himself.

Three are still packaged up, brand new.

I’ll miss his company.

I’m really excited too though as my folks know his wife.

By the time they’ll visit me he should have made it across the border.

This will be a whole new news feed from now on and I can break some of the rumors.

Can’t wait to see my parents for their feedback on the lawyers talks.

There are rumors that Vogel, Berlin takes bribes from parents.

Questionable if he can influence the process at all.

*Testimony -> Start. This blog entry is part of a linear narrated testimony of the contemporary witness Jens Thieme who was imprisoned 1985-1986 as a political prisoner in various GDR prisons by the GDR Ministry of State Security. Stasi prison, Stasi jail, Stasi detention.
