“What is your position to your crime today and which conclusions have you drawn?”

“I don’t recognize my doing as punishable as I don’t accept the GDR laws and the emigration options to Western Germany.

I learned however, that there might be other options, however: I deem them in violation with the UN Helsinki Charter and the OSCE Ottawa Treaty of 1985. I can’t draw any conclusions as I am held in the GDR against my will.”
