Forgot my SG number

Noise.
Door springs open.
I’m confused and dazed.

“SG 1251!”
“SG 1253!”
… I got nothing…

Officer expects me to say something.
My brain is still fried.
I’m sleeping.

“You are 1240!”
“SG…12…40.”
“Never again!”

I guess they’re easy on the new ones.
Just this one time.
New clothes.
