Bill of indictement

Stasi prison May 30, 1985

That was fast!

Bill of indictment.

On the very next day!

Copy from my Stasi files. Just 24 hours after the district attourney documented that §219 won't be pursued the bill of indictment was issued.

They must hate me here.

Or make room for more people.

At that rate the country will be empty next year.

§214!

Just that.

Big relieve!

So many questions now!

How much will the sentence be?

Where will they send me to prison?

Will I be among the lucky ones to be ransomed by the West?

But for now I need to concentrate on the trial next month.

Another 4 weeks - of doing exactly what I wonder?

It’s stupid that I can’t tell my folks, especially after dad just visited.

They’ll learn it from the official documents.

Or my next letter.

“Will my parents be there?”

“The trial won't be public.”

Of course it won’t!
